Reading is usually my “go to” summer activity. In fact, I can usually get four or five novels in before the school bell rings again in September. But with my “little” writing activity (did I mention I am working on a novel??), my reading time has been seriously cut short.
I recently finished a book recommended by a friend—One Thousand White Women: The Journals of May Dodd. As I mentioned in a previous post, I didn’t technically “read” it as it was an audiobook, but I very much enjoyed it! Gave it 4/5 stars. But always read several reviews to see if it’s a book for you! Personally, I really like getting recommendations from others because they usually take me out of my comfort zone and expose me to stories I normally wouldn’t choose.
So what are YOU reading this summer? Or what have you already finished that you would recommend? Tell me in the comments below, and don’t forget to say why you like it! And check back to see what others suggest…if you’re looking, that is!
P.S. Feel free to follow me on Goodreads if you want to see what else I’ve been reading.
